Vinkki: Mikäli saat liikaa silmukoita per 10 cm, vaihda paksumpiin puikkoihin. Jos saat liian vähän silmukoita per 10 cm, vaihda ohuempiin puikkoihin.

Tarvitset myös eriväristä lankaa kuusi noin 20-40 cm pätkää, (XS-L)6 (XL-3XL)7 nappia, silmukkamerkkejä sekä neulan. Virkkuukoukusta saattaa olla apua silmukoita poimiessa.

Työohje

Työ neulotaan alhaalta ylös tasona kainaloihin asti, jonka jälkeen erotetaan takakappale ja etukappaleet. Takakappale ja etukappaleet neulotaan erikseen tasona, jonka jälkeen vastakkaiset olat päätellään kolmen puikon taktiikalla yhteen. Kädenteiltä poimitaan silmukat puikolle neuloen ja hihat neulotaan ylhäältä alas suljettuna mallineuleena. Pääntietä varten poimitaan neuloen silmukat ja päätellään icord-menetelmällä.

The sizes aren’t standard. Please check the measures for the appropriate cardigan size. The measurements are the measurements of the finished cardigan. If possible, compare the measurements to a well-fitting cardigan.

The cardigan is intended to have 3–5 cm of positive ease. Measure your bust circumference and choose a size that is approx. 3-5 cm bigger. Or if you want more / less ease, choose the size accordingly.

Gauge

10×10 cm: 16 stitches and 28 rows in stockinette

Needles

Circular needle 5 mm 80 cm (or as needed to obtain gauge) for bigger sizes 120/150 cm

Double pointed needles 5 mm (or as needed to obtain gauge)

(If you don’t use the Magic loop- technique, you will need to use circular needle 5 mm 40 cm)

Tip: If you’re getting too many sts per 10 cm, switch to a bigger needle size. If you’re getting too few sts per 10 cm, switch to a smaller needle.

You will also need 6 pieces of scrap yarn of a contrasting colour in a length of approximately 20-40 cm per piece, (XS-L)6 (XL-3XL)7 buttons, stitch markers and a darning needle. A crochet hook may help with picking up sts.

Instructions

Body is worked flat from bottom up until the underarms where back and fronts are separated. Back and the fronts are all knit flat separately and shoulders are joined using 3 needle bind off. Sleeve stitches are picked up from the edges of the armhole and sleeves are knit in the round towards the wrist in pattern. Stitches are picked up from the neckline and bound off with an i-cord.
