Koot eivät ole standardeja. Tarkista sopiva koko annetuista mitoista. Mitat ovat valmiin neuletakin mittoja. Malli on suunniteltu tyköistuvaksi ja helma hieman cropatuksi. Palmikkoneulos on hyvin venyvää, joten väljyysvara on negatiivinen. Mittaa oma rinnanympärys ja valitse koko, jossa ympärysmitta on noin 2-5 cm pienempi kuin omasi. Tai jos haluat väljemmän / vielä tyköistuvamman takin, valitse koko sen mukaan.

Pyöröpuikko 3,5 ja 4,5 mm 80 cm (tai käsialan mukaan) isoimmat koot: puikon pituus 120/150 cm

Vinkki: Mikäli saat liikaa silmukoita per 10 cm, vaihda paksumpiin puikkoihin. Jos saat liian vähän silmukoita per 10 cm, vaihda ohuempiin puikkoihin.

Tarvitset myös eriväristä lankaa kuusi noin 20-40 cm pätkää, 5-6 nappia, silmukkamerkkejä sekä neulan. Virkkuukoukusta saattaa olla apua silmukoita poimiessa.

Työohje

Työ neulotaan (resoria lukuun ottamatta) mallineuleena alhaalta ylös tasona kainaloihin asti, jonka jälkeen erotetaan takakappale ja etukappaleet. Takakappale ja etukappaleet neulotaan erikseen tasona, jonka jälkeen vastakkaiset olat päätellään kolmen puikon taktiikalla yhteen. Kädenteiltä poimitaan silmukat puikolle neuloen ja hihat neulotaan ylhäältä alas suljettuna mallineuleena. Kaksinkertaista pääntietä varten poimitaan neuloen silmukat ja päätösreuna kiinnitetään ompelein työn nurjalle puolen. Lopuksi työn etureunasta poimitaan neuloen silmukat ja neulotaan onteloneulereunus napinlävillä.

The sizes aren’t standard. Please check the measures for the appropriate cardigan size. The measurements are the measurements of the finished cardigan. The cardigan is designed to be form-fitting and slightly cropped. The cable pattern is stretchy, so the desired ease is negative. Measure your bust circumference and choose a size that is approx. 2-5 cm smaller. Or if you want more / less ease, choose the size accordingly.

The cardigan is knit with two strands held together. Sample uses the following:

Gauge

10×10 cm: 34 sts in cable pattern

10×10 cm: 31 sts and 28 rows in cable pattern (soaked and blocked)

Needles

Circular needle 3,5 and 4,5 mm 80 cm (or as needed to obtain gauge) for bigger sizes 120/150 cm

Double pointed needles 3,5 and 4,5 mm (or as needed to obtain gauge)

(If you don’t use the Magic loop- technique, you will need to use circular needle 3,5 mm and 4,5 mm 40 cm)

Tip: If you’re getting too many sts per 10 cm, switch to a bigger needle size. If you’re getting too few sts per 10 cm, switch to a smaller needle.

You will also need 6 pieces of scrap yarn of a contrasting colour in a length of approximately 20-40 cm per piece, 5-6 buttons, stitch markers and a darning needle. A crochet hook may help with picking up sts.

Instructions

Body is worked flat from bottom up in cable pattern (except for hem ribbing) until the underarms where back and fronts are separated. Back and the fronts are all knit flat separately and shoulders are joined using 3 needle bind off. Sleeve stitches are picked up from the edges of the armhole and sleeves are knit in the round in cable pattern towards the wrist. Stitches are picked up from the neckline for a double-folded neckline that is sewn onto the wrong side. Stitches are picked from the front edge to work a double knitted buttonband.
