1. Kaulan ympärys 41 cm (löystyy käytössä)
2. Rinnanympärys 92 cm (tämä on neuleen isoin mitta, ennen kuin hihasilmukat erotellaan)
3. Rintakehä 80 cm (hihasilmukoiden erotuksen jälkeen)
4. Vatsa 66 cm (kaikkien kavennusten jälkeen). Vatsan joustinneuleen osuudella 64 cm
5. Selän pituus 60 cm (pääntien resorin alareunasta hännän tyveen)

Koon muokkaaminen omalle, suurin piirtein samankokoiselle koiralle: Mikäli haluat ympärysmitaltaan isomman/pienemmän paidan, lisää/vähennä silmukoita neljällä jaollisen luvun verran (4 s = kuvion toistokerta). Neljä silmukkaa vastaa noin kolmea senttiä sileää neulosta.

Langan menekki

Ohjeen neuleessa on käytetty Alafosslopi-lankaa päävärinä ja kuviovärit on neulottu kaksinkertaisella Lettlopi-langalla. Voit halutessasi korvata kaksinkertaisen Lettlopin yksinkertaisella Alafosslopi-langalla. Langan menekki on sama grammoina laskettuna.

Pääväri Alafosslopi 100 g = 100 m

Neuletiheys

10 x 10 cm = 17 s ja 18 krs 1o, 1n  joustinneuletta

10 x 10 cm = 13 s ja 18 krs sileää neuletta

Vinkki: Neulo mallitilkku ja viimeistele se kuten valmis neule tullaan viimeistelemään. Mikäli saat liikaa silmukoita per 10 cm, vaihda paksumpiin puikkoihin. Jos saat liian vähän silmukoita per 10 cm, vaihda ohuempiin puikkoihin.

Puikot

Pyöröpuikko 5 ja 6 mm 80 cm (tai käsialan mukaan)

Sukkapuikot 5 mm (tai käsialan mukaan)

Mikäli et käytä Magic loop- tekniikkaa, tarvitset myös pyöröpuikot 5 ja 6 mm 40 cm.

Tarvitset

– Kanavaneulan

– 7 kpl silmukkamerkkejä (voit myös käyttää langanpätkiä, tölkkiklipsuja yms.)

– Sovituskaapelin, mikäli haluat sovittaa paitaa koiralle työn edetessä

Työohje

Työ aloitetaan kauluksesta ja neulotaan suljettuna neuleena vatsaan saakka. Matkan varrella tehdään aukot etutassuille ja hihasilmukat jätetään apulangoille odottamaan. Rintakehässä tassujen takana neulotaan lyhennettyjä kerroksia tasona istuvuuden parantamiseksi. Vatsassa päätellään osa silmukoista ja työ neulotaan loppuun tasona. Tasona neulottaessa neulotaan työn molemmissa reunoissa onteloneuletta. Hihat neulotaan erikseen suljettuna neuleena sukkapuikoilla.

Altering the size for a similar sized dog:

If you want a sweater with larger/smaller circumference, add/subtract stitches in a multiple of 4 (4 sts = pattern repeat). 4 sts equals approx. 3 cm of stockinette.

Yarn consumption

The sample is knit with Alafosslopi as the main colour and Lettlopi held double for contrast colours. You can replace double-held Lettlopi with a single strand of Alafosslopi. The yarn consumption in grams remains the same.

Gauge

10 x 10 cm = 17 sts and 18 rounds of knit 1, purl 1 rib

10 x 10 cm = 13 sts and 18 rounds of stockinette

Tip: make a gauge swatch and give it the same finishing treatment as you would for the finished piece. If you’re getting too many sts per 10 cm, switch to a bigger needle size. If you’re getting too few sts per 10 cm, switch to a smaller needle.

Needles

Circular needle 5 and 6 mm 80 cm (or as needed to obtain gauge)

Double pointed needles 5 mm (or as needed to obtain gauge)

If you don’t use the Magic loop- technique, you will also need 5 and 6 mm 40 cm circular needles.

You will also need

– a tapestry needle

– 7 stitch markers (you can also use yarn scraps, can tabs etc.)

– Try-on cords, if you want to try the sweater on the dog while knitting

Instructions

The sweater is started from the collar and worked in the round until the belly. You will make holes for the front legs along the way and leave sleeve stitches on hold. You will work short rows at the chest behind the front legs to improve the fit. A portion of stitches is bound off at the belly and rest of the piece is worked flat. When working flat, the edges are worked in double knitting. Lastly, the sleeves are knit in the round on double pointed needles.
